Top 4 Exercises to Tone Legs & Grow Glutes

Top 4 Exercises to Tone Legs & Grow Glutes

Here are my top 4 exercises that keep my legs toned and my glutes growing! (My workout set is linked at the bottom of the post!!!)

1. RDLs : For this exercise, there's numerous ways to do this. You can use a barbell or a pair of dumbbells. With your knees bent slightly, you will engage more of your glutes. If your legs are a little straighter, this targets more of your hamstrings. The goal is to keep tension in your hamstrings and/or glutes. I use various weights but consistency is key!  (See photo below on the right).

2. Split squats: I love this exercise because it's so easy with minimal set up. You grab whatever weight dumbbell you are comfortable with, have a wider stance, and keep tension in your glutes! I keep my foot inline with my knee to keep my glutes more engaged. Squat down until the entire dumbbell is almost touching the ground. (See photo below).

3. Deadlifts: I don't lift too heavy with deadlifts, but I enjoy sumo deadlifts because it engages your inner thighs. Not only that, it engages your hamstrings and glutes as well. (See photo below on the right).

4. Barbell hip thrusts: This exercise takes a bit more time setting up, but it is worth it! Your glutes will thank you!! I like to increase the weight and keep the weight on the heavier side for this exercise. If you haven't included this in your routine, this is your sign to include it now! (See photo below, centered).

Extra! Other exercises I like to include in my workout are: bulgarian split squats, barbell squats, glute bridges, single leg dumbbell RDLs, step-ups, deficit lunges.
